The Canon EOS 500D Rebel T1i Digital SLR has the features of its predecessors in the Rebel line, and then some. In some ways, the Canon EOS 500D Rebel T1i, also known as the Rebel T1i, has leapfrogged past the capabilities of the mid-level series, such as the Canon EOS 50D. For instance, the EOS 50D has the same resolution as the Canon EOS 500D Rebel T1i but it doesn't have the HD Video capability that the new Rebel does. In fact, the only other Canon camera to offer the HD Video feature at this time is the EOS 5D Mark II As with all EOS camera bodies, the camera is compatible with Canon EF lenses as well as the economical EF-S series of lenses.
